Supergate is making various efforts towards technological innovation in the field of construction safety. The aim of this project is to protect personnel on construction sites and to significantly reduce fatalities by real-time monitoring of the use of safety equipment.
As a measure to reduce the roughly 500 construction site fatalities that occur each year, Supergate has developed a low-power AI system product. This product detects hazardous situations on-site in real-time and is the first construction safety equipment to feature embedded AI, utilizing deep learning to make its own inferences and responses without the need for external servers. Additionally, it is characterized by its long-lasting internal battery and a design emphasizing portability.
Supergate's product is designed to function flawlessly even in construction sites with limited wireless communication or internet access.
It operates deep learning processes independently of external servers or clouds to detect hazards in real-time and respond immediately. Through this technological development, Supergate aims to drive social value enhancement and change in the field of construction safety. To support this, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and LH (Korea Land and Housing Corporation) collaborated, each investing half of the funds in Supergate's project to develop an action camera for construction safety, utilizing AI semiconductor technology.
